Loook up! This Sunday evening, Sept. 27th, the moon is having a pretty big party.

It’s such a big occasion, it’s called a Super Harvest Blood Moon Eclipse — and it’s coming to a beautiful evening sky near you.

Here’s the science-folk to dissect what all those exciting words actually mean to us as we’re moon-gazing:

So far, our weather forecast is looking perfect for this occasion! On the westcoast, according to EathSky.org, this eclipse will happen around 7:51pm — basically at sunset and last for about an hour plus 11min. Don’t be late — if you don’t want to wait til 2033, look up (and grab your fanciest camera) this Sunday night as the moon rises.
