These are the new cups that are part of the war that Starbucks is waging on Christmas according to a few Christian evangelists. This season the coffee giant took a minimal approach and made the cups a simple red with their green and white logo.

In a viral Facebook post that has had nearly 10.5 million views since Thursday, Joshua Feuerstein says, “Starbucks removed Christmas from their cups because they hate Jesus,” and then urged Christians to join a social media  movement with the hashtag #MerryChristmasStarbucks.

Starbucks says they simply wanted to try out a more inclusive design. “This year we wanted to usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories,” said Starbucks’ VP of Design.

Not the intention but I’m pretty sure that Starbucks doesn’t mind the the attention.
