If you’ve seen the movie Blackfish you’ll be happy to know that SeaWorld has announced that their orca shows at the San Diego park will end by 2017. CEO Joel Manby cited customer feedback as the reason for the move. Sea World is planning to offer a different kind of orca experience and focus on the animal’s natural setting and behaviors.  SeaWorld is starting to struggle financially with third-quarter earnings missing Wall Street expectations. Good news but they’re still going to have at least a full year of confined orca.
