Trevor’s new single, STRONG HANDS, was written almost 10 years ago, driven by the lack of awareness and respect for military vets – especially among younger generations. In keeping with his longstanding appreciation and respect for Canada’s veterans, Guthrie decided to dedicate his proceeds from the single, to Canadian veterans’ charity Wounded Warriors Canada.

About Wounded Warriors:
Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that supports Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and their families.
Through a wide range of national programs and services, Wounded Warriors provides a spectrum of care that is focused on mental health and, particularly, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Director: Trevor Guthrie & Josh Byer

Lyrics:

Was woken up one foggy morning,
To a clanging sound across the bay,
Was a soldier on a rock washing his coffee cup,
That was the last mistake that soldier made.

The fog lift high above the water,
The soldier stood to look around,
So I put my hands upon my rifle,
And I shot that soldier man down.

You can’t tell from the lines on my face,
My smile hides the tracks my tears have made,
For such good men you, would be proud to have known them then,
When we had strong hands…
