Watch: Zip Down A BC Mountain on Roller Coaster

We’ve had an incredible season of fluffy white powder on BC mountains, right?!

So what happens after the snow melts? Some mountain resorts have amazing mountain biking parks and attractions, others are just great places to go for a hike and stay in a cabin in the woods to get away from it all.

Not too far away from the coast — about 6 hours Northeast of Vancouver — you’ll find Revelstoke Mountain Resort. This summer they are launching their new family friendly “mountain rollercoaster” called The Pipe Mountain Coaster.

The 1.4-km ride opens May 21, 2016 and will feature a single-track that you can ride down the mountain up to speeds of 42 km/h that descends over 250 vertical meters. Looks like your summer road trip just got a little more exciting.
