Whooowhee. That’s a big ship.

Victoria’s cruise ship season is in full motion with Ogden Point’s dance card filled right up from now through October.

This is our biggest ship yet — the Explorer of the Seas slid into port at Ogden Point 8am this morning with 3,100 passengers. It has a capacity for 3,800 passengers, 1,000 crew members and can feed them anything they want with 23 restaurants and cafe’s. They will be busy with onboard activiies like skydiving, ziplining, scuba diving, ice skating, inline skating. Wow. So why get off that thing at all?

Because, Victoria.

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority provides a warm welcome at Ogden Pt, with First Nations dancers, tours all set and ready to go and your choice of transportation to any of Victoria’s spoils…from Pedi-cab to taxi-cab, a beautiful walk along the David Foster Walkway and those many bus tours.
