The 5th Goddess Run is now in the rearview mirror for over 1,250 women that participated in this event last weekend. Gone, but not forgotten. The t-shirt, necklace, great photos with friends along with the memories and euphoria that comes with an event like the Goddess Run will remain.

Perhaps the most lingering effect will be the positive momentum in our community from the money raised for the Goddess Run charities: Victoria Sexual Assault Centre, KidSport Greater Victoria and Victoria Women’s Transition House …This year’s total neared $20,000 adding up to over $170,000 raised over the 5 years.

This fun event has become very popular in Victoria and beyond since the Goddess Run was named one of Canada’s top themed runs!

I know one family that won’t forget this Goddess Run. Just ask 10-year old Sophie Mallory all about it. This was her second Goddess Run, but her first…FIRST. Yes, this wee Goddess ran the 5K on the 25+ degree day in just 23 minutes. And that put her in first place in the 5K event.
