After Friday’s trip to Haida Gwaii and that adorable Royal shindig at Government House Thursday, the Royal family will wrap up their Royal Visit to Canada on Saturday, October 1st in Victoria.

Here are your last Royal-watching spots to see the family before they head back to the UK:

11:45am (approximately)       

Prince William and the Duchess will leave Ogden Point on Tall Ship Pacific Grace, visible from Breakwater area.

12:30pm  

The Royal couple will arrive by Tall Ship at Ship Point, heading back to Government House shortly after their arrival.

3:40pm

Official departure of the Royal Family as they leave Victoria by float plane from the lower Wharf Street parking lot at Harbour Air Terminal.

There will be private events with the Cridge Centre and Kelty Mental Resources Centre that morning.

Traffic will be affected in the Inner Harbour area near Ship Point:

Parking Restrictions and Road Closures:

  • Parking restrictions will be in place in the lower Wharf Street parking lot beginning at 1 a.m. on Saturday, October 1 and will remain in place until approximately 5 p.m.
  • Beginning at noon on Saturday, October 1, Wharf Street will close to traffic between Broughton Street and Government Street until approximately 4 p.m. Wharf Street between Fort Street and Broughton Street and lower Broughton Street between Langley Street and Wharf Street will be limited to local traffic only during this time.

Expect a log-jam of people trying to get one last glimpse of the Duke and Duchess and really — the wee Royals. So take the bus, walk, bike or carpool to make life easier.
