Sometimes good things come in small packages.

Small packages of yoda-shaped pasta.

This Vancouver Island family reached out and got an avalanche of love, support and PASTA.

Interview - Reed Botwright -- Star Wars KD For Life For Son With Autism

Originally Aired: February 17, 2017

Reed Botwright posted online that he was on the lookout for Star Wars KD for his 6-year old son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder — and is VERY fond of the pasta.

When they couldn’t buy the special Mac and Cheese anymore in Nanaimo, they hit the internet to reach out to neighbours that might know how to find more of Everett’s pasta.

Neighbours like William Shatner reached out.

So many people have offered to send them a box — or even cases of Everett’s favourite food, that he has all you can eat Star Wars KD for a very long time!

The Force is strong with this family!

Friday, the pasta started rolling in. The family has had donations from across Canada and beyond. From Kraft Foods in the US sending 140 boxes from their warehouse after they got wind of the social media plea – to individuals that were touched by Everett’s story – to their local Superstore donating 400 boxes to the family this weekend, the support has been pouring in.

Good neighbours make the world a tiny, wonderful place.

It has begun…
