Are we alone in the universe? Thanks to a new brand of science—astrobiology—we’re much more likely to find out. The Search for Life in Space, a new 3D documentary adventure at IMAX Victoria, reveals that we are closer than ever before to finding life elsewhere in the universe.  With stunning giant-screen images taken from the world’s most advanced telescopes, the film offers new insight into possible life-sustaining worlds, from Mars and the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn to planets beyond our Solar System.

I chatted with Lisa Kaltenegger who is the founder and director of the Carl Sagan Institute at Cornell University. She’s found a way to rank the potential of life on other planets and moons and explains it below.

I could have talked to her for HOURS!! Sooooo interesting.
