Hey! Glad you could make it!

Another fantastic weekend of Fun Finding is behind us, and this may have been the most exciting weekend ever. One of the biggest Ocean events this year will undoubtedly be the Nissan Rogue Giveaway Party. Well, the stars are coming into alignment, which means that prophesied day is coming soon! On the weekends, I’ll be balloting to give one lucky Ocean listener a chance to come to the party and win a (like) new car!! Keep an eye (and an ear) out for where I’ll be next!

Back to this weekend though, I made my way to Cupcakes at Uptown, I handed some cupcakes out at Westshore Town Centre, I did some balloting at the Breakwater, I learned about winter gardening at the Compost Education Centre, but the highlight of my weekend was definitely Ximena Londono’s zimply zensational Zumba class put on by the Burnside Gorge Community Association. The association hosts these free events periodically, and I figured this was the perfect opportunity to learn more about Zumba! And what Zumba was! I’m not much of a dancer, so I mostly just learned pain and humiliation, but after an hour of upbeat aerobic dancing, I felt fantastic. Loosened up and relaxed! Well, there was fifteen minutes there where I was a shambling, sweating Zumba zombie clamoring for water like I just wandered out of the Sahara, but still! I I highly recommend.
