A lot of us have been complaining about the toll the pandemic has taken on our physical health & fitness. Nicer weather around the corner means many people will be amping up their fitness game. The latest trend? No, it’s not a weird diet…….IT’S A WEIGHTED HULA-HOOP!

Not even kidding……expect to see a few people jumping on this bandwagon. Before you roll your eyes, there are a few upsides to this activity! You can do it indoors or out, you don’t need a ton of space, and you can do it with your kids. (Or, with a friend? Is that weird?)

And if you are questioning the quality of the workout, one company says that a 10-minute weighted Hula-Hoop workout is equavalent to 10 minutes of jogging! (You’ll have to take their word for this, we aren’t personal trainers….)

There are a ton of weighted hula-hoop videos on Youtube. The hoops are available in both kids & adult sizes.
