Pet Friday With Dez

Every week, I partner up with a different local rescue group to help adopt out their animals and find them their fur-ever homes! 

This week we’re partnering up with the RainCoast Dog Rescue  Society to help find a home for adoptable “Honey!”

Meet Adoptable Honey! 

Honey is a 55-60lb, brindle and white, female, 3-4 year old, Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Honey is one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. She has a zest for life and loves to go for adventures, canoe rides, playtime in the yard, or just for a walk. Honey is a big snuggler and thinks she is a lap dog, even know she’s as solid as a rock. She does well in a kennel and left out once she’s comfortable in her new environment. Honey is a powerful girl that will need a strong handler as she can pull hard when she wants too, but can also do well on leash when she’s not stimulated by something like a bird or squirrel. She also can sometimes be fearful of bikes and skateboards and the people riding them. Honey pulls to meet new dogs and will do best when she meets dogs properly and can go slow and have time to sniff. She hasn’t bit another dog before but her energy when pulling towards other dogs could sometimes cause overstimulated incidents. Honey has made doggy friends and has done well on adventure walks with a small pack. Once she knows the dog she’s fine with them. Honey would do best in a home with that is very affectionate, loving, dog experienced, strong and understanding. We are asking for no kids under 10 in the home please and no cats.
