Hello Fun Finder friends!

September has ended! Quick, someone wake up the guy from Green Day. October has made it’s move and Halloween is creeping up like…some sort of creepy Halloween thing. It’s enough to give a fun finder the chills!

Speaking of chills, I get a little shiver every time I think of how much Ocean 98.5 gave back to the community this weekend. It does my oversized-elephant heart proud to be part of a station that supports so many amazing charities!

The irrepressible ROBIN FARRELL (dun dun duuunnnn) donned her chef-apron and hero-cape at the Food Rescue Chef’s Challenge on Saturday. That was an absolute blast-and-half, and with the help of teammate and professional chef John Waller from The Marina Restauruant, Robin took home the gold and helped raise over 50,000 dollars ( WOW ) for the Mustard Seed Street Church! That money will be used to add a much-needed food prep station to better accommodate Victoria’s underfed citizens.

ADDITIONALLY, Sunday was the CIBC Run for the Cure! Usually, I run in the opposite direction from marathons, but I’m a sucker for a good cause, and we were raising money for one of the best. “Make Breast Cancer Beatable” they said, and we did our best. The run raised 16.2 MILLION ( WOOOOOW ) dollars across Canada, with 200 grand of that coming from rainy ol’ Victoria. Daaaaang.

I was honoured and humbled to even be a part of these events. Hopefully you feel the same after checking out the awesome pictures below!

As always, an enormous #OceanFamily thanks to Westshore Town Centre and Campus Nissan.
