Fun Finder Corey reporting in after a weekend full of festive frolicking and fantastic fun!

It’s been a busy holiday season here at the Ocean; the reindeer need feeding, the presents need wrapping and the boss hasn’t gotten out of bed since this time last year. Er, wait, sorry- I’m thinking of my temp job at the North Pole. Finding fun ain’t cheap, so I picked up a side gig for December. It’s been great actually, I really like the uniforms, and I’m really popular because I can reach the high shelves! The benefits aren’t great though, a lot of my coworkers don’t have a retirement plan, and when I ask about a health plan, they just say “magic elf dust”. I don’t like the sound of that, so I’m gonna stick to my original plan of not getting sick ever, and then just dying someday.

My responsibilities as fun finder are paramount, of course, and this weekend was a great reminder why! The Victoria Chamber of Commerce put together a pretty swanky Sweater Weather Get-Together that was almost as much fun to attend as it is to say. Tuba Christmas combined two of my favourite things into one amazing event and the Esquimalt Lagoon Clean Up? Clean beaches make a great Christmas present for Victorians of all ages, in my humble opinion. I also had a blast at the Last Chance Christmas Market and of course, Skate with the Royals, was the highlight of my weekend. Butchart Garden’s put on quite the show, and their holiday light display is absolutely astonishing. I’m still blown away from it, keep an eye out for the 12 Days of Christmas while you’re there!

Thanks for reading, and, as always, an enormous #OceanFamily thanks to Cupcakes at UptownMoxie’s Grill and Bar, Monk OfficeWestshore Town Centre and Campus Nissan!
