And these little gems may hold they key to losing weight!
A study in the British Medical Journal has shown that people who ate more flavonoid antioxidants gained the least amount of weight over the course of the study, and that’s important because plums have more flavonoids than any other fruit! So what are flavonoids?? They’re disease-fighting, anti-inflammatory compounds found in plant pigments – which give produce its colour. Side note: Plums also have a lot of anthocyanins which is a plant pigment that burns fat.
