The great thing about the weather being nicer is the chance to BBQ!  Try this oh so simple BBQ Marinade great for chicken.  The best part is you can make it ahead of time.   It is packed full of flavour and will quickly become a family favourite.

Ingredients

1 clove of garlic (for garlic lovers, add more to taste)

1 teaspoon of paprika

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon of brown sugar (you can add a sugar alternative)

1 teaspoon of cumin

2/3 cup of ketchup

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.   Add chicken to Ziploc bag or dish, pour mixture over, making sure to cover the chicken completely.   Ensure the container is sealed tightly, or remove any air from the Ziploc bag.  Leave in the fridge for 2 hours before using.  You can also freeze the marinade, ready for you to defrost and use for your next bbq.

If you and your family love additional sauce, make a little extra, and put in a separate container BEFORE you add the raw chicken to marinate.  Store in fridge until ready to serve. You can heat up the extra sauce or serve cold, great for dipping your bbq chicken!
