Shania Twain’s new single, Life’s About To Get Good, is here!

The country superstar described the tune at the Stagecoach Festival in California last month by saying, “This is like a solo record experience for me. It was therapy, I wrote this specific song about the good and bad in life. It’s really just a happy, sing-along optimistic song. It’s all about how ‘Life’s About to Get Good.’”

Definitely a personal song for her! All about getting your independence and life back after being betrayed in a relationship. *cough* Mutt *cough*

Shania Twain’s album, Now, is due out September 29th and will be her first studio album since Up! in 2002. Up! sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and her first album Come On Over in 1997 became the best-selling album of all time by a female artist. So, no pressure.

If the rest of the album has the same sound, it looks like we’ll be hearing a 2017 update to Shania’s famous pop/country style.

Life’s About To Get Good Lyrics

I wasn’t just broken, I was shattered
I trusted you so much, you were all that mattered
You no longer love me and you stand right beside her
I couldn’t move on and I think you were flattered

[Chorus]
Life’s about joy
Life’s about pain
It’s all about forgiving and the will to walk away
I’m ready to be loved
And loved the way I should
Life’s about
Life’s about to get good
Oh, life’s about to get good
Oh, life’s about to get good
Oh, life’s about to get good

The longer my tears fell, the wider the river
It killed me that you’d give your life to be with her
I had to believe that things would get better
It was time to forget you, forever

[Chorus]

It took me so long to be strong
But I’m alive, and I hold on to what I can feel
It hurts to heal
Oh, but love, life’s…
About to get good
About to get good
About to get good

[Chorus]

Life’s about joy
Life’s about pain
Life’s about, life’s about to get good
