Every Friday, I partner up with a different local rescue group to help adopt out their animals and find them their fur-ever homes!

This week we’re partnering up with the Victoria Humane Society to help find a home for adoptable “Huey.”

Meet adoptable Huey! He’s a 9 year, male, very special domestic short-haired ‘Scaredy-Cat!” When Huey was rescued he came to in very afraid, stressed and starving, and nearly ready to give up on life. The first 2 weeks were hard for him to get comfortable and let’s just say he was a pro at hide-and-seek lol. Eventually he came out of his shell and decided he quite enjoyed getting scratched and petted. He is a very sweet and easy-going boy with no aggressive, and thrives off physical attention & connection. Even though he is about 9 years old, he’s still very agile, peppy, loves to cuddle on your lap and will make room for himself in any situation if you let him. 

Huey needs a quiet home without no kids, and no other pets in order to feel safe. He likes to have some hiding places to go when he’s uneasy so he may not be the biggest fan of open concept living. If you live alone, no matter what age he’d be the perfect little roommate to Netflix and chill with.

The Victoria Humane Society is in dire need of foster homes, as they are currently over flowing with kittens! Executive Director of VHS, Penny Stone, has about 23 cats and kittens at her house right now, and approximately 100 cats in total being fostered by around 50 families.
