Reimagining how surgeries can be improved for safety, time, and patient benefit is just one of the many advancements our Foundation is proud to support in our pursuit of life-enhancing care for patients on Vancouver Island.

 

Introducing robotics into our operating rooms will usher in a transformative wave of innovation to surgical and cancer care on Vancouver Island. Bringing the gold standard of leading-edge robotics will dramatically enhance the proficiencies of our highly skilled surgeons, providing unparalleled accuracy, dexterity, and control during complex procedures.

 

Robotics will allow for:

  • Improved visualization for surgeons
  • Minimally invasive procedures
  • Enhanced recovery for patients
  • Reduced risk of complications for patients
  • Reduced need of nursing staff post-surgery

In tandem with robotics, we are bringing advanced minimally invasive equipment to our operating rooms to support ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, and other surgical divisions. This will continue, and accelerate, a revolution in surgical care.
